Stratford Bridge

| A particularly good place to watch the river. Trout are frequently seen in the slightly deeper sections. A wide range of ducks, swans, coots, moorhens, geese etc can be seen along the full length of the river, and Swifts, Swallows and House Martins in the summer, but this spot is particularly accessible. Wagtails are also very prevalent in the spring and summer as they like to paddle in the shallow water at the river edge here. It is also a favourite place for dogs and young children to play in the river, and while this disturbs the wildlife somewhat, it is probably better they are out playing here rather than sitting at home with their Playstations or out worrying sheep (but is it dogs with Playstations and ?) | ||
