The road between Stratford Bridge and Snakey Hill is expected to be closed between 8 am and 5 pm from Monday 18 November up to and including Friday 22 November.
Wiltshire Council Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Temporary Closure of: C42 (Part), Woodford (Ref: TTRO 9856)
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic: C42 (Part), Woodford; from its junction with C294 to its junction with C57. To enable: Wiltshire Council to carry out drainage repairs following CCTV investigation survey and associated works.
Alternative route: via C57 – A360 – Ashley Road – A345 – C42 (unaffected length) and vice versa. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.
This Order will come into operation on 15 November 2024 (Ed: but the closures are expected to begin from Monday 18 November) and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 until 21 November 2024. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions.
Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months.
