Grand Opening of new galleries at Salisbury Museum

On Saturday 13 July from 10 am until 5 pm the public will be admitted free of charge to view the new galleries.

When Adrian Green, Director of Salisbury Museum, gave a talk to members of Stratford Guild in April this year, he outlined the Museum's Past Forward development Project and gave a detailed breakdown of the new layout. The new Salisbury Gallery is to be named 'The Devenish Bradshaw Salisbury Gallery', in honour of Peter Bradshaw of the Devenish family, a benefactor of the museum. Read details of the talk and images here.

From the Salisbury Museum website:

"Come along and celebrate with us as we open our three new galleries to the public for the first time.

Our doors open at 10am for visitors to see the new Devenish Bradshaw Salisbury Gallery, Natural History Gallery, and Ceramics Gallery, packed with objects, stories, and interactives, discover the Extraordinary Everyday of our local history.

Entry will be free to all with the official placement of the last object in the Salisbury Gallery at 2pm.

We look forward to seeing you there!"
