Stratford sub Castle is in a Conservation Area. A formal notice is required for felling or heavy pruning of trees within conservation areas. This notice runs for six weeks from the date the council deems to be valid. Unlike a TPO application, if a conservation area tree works notification passes its deadline without a decision, then the work may proceed.
