R12 turning around at Mill Lane Thursday 27 February - expect changes to timetable

RW

Unfortunately at least one passenger missed the scheduled 09:35 bus from Stratford Bridge to Salisbury this morning.

That bus had already turned around at Mill Lane at about 09:20 on its way from Salisbury to Stratford sub Castle. According to a Service Update issued by Salisbury Reds, temporary traffic lights are expected to be operating near Stratford Bridge today, making the usual manoeuvre of turning the vehicle around there, impossible.

SO WHEREVER YOU WISH TO BOARD OR ALIGHT FROM THE BUS IN STRATFORD TODAY, EXPECT SOME VARIATION TO THE TIMETABLE. THE BUS MAY BE EARLY (AS IT WAS THIS MORNING), OR IT COULD BE LATE.

Intending passengers can check timetables and any service updates on the Salisbury Reds website, or by using the mobile app. There is even an option to 'track the bus' on a map which is a useful way of determining exactly where it is. Even the registration number of the bus is displayed!

The roadworks causing this distruption are publicised on One Network as taking place at Avon Bridge, not Stratford Bridge. However, by the end of the day, orange barriers had been attached to Stratford Bridge at the point it had been damaged some weeks' ago.
