Stratford School Christmas Artwork is on display in St Lawrence Church

Today is the last day of term at Stratford Primary School. All the children walked to St Lawrence Church this afternoon for their Christmas Service, as the church bells rang out a welcome.

Another end-of-term tradition is the Annual Christmas Art Competition for which The Friends of St Lawrence Church provide book tokens as prizes.

The children's paintings are displayed on the back of the church door and at the ends of the pews, providing a bright and cheerful display.

This sponsorship fulfils part of The Friends' aim of promoting a good community spirit.

The church is open every day between

10 am and 4 pm and all are welcome to view the paintings.

The Friends of St Lawrence Church, a charitable trust registration no. 1063271, was set up in 1998 to formally involve the wider community in the task of fundraising to maintain the church and its grounds through Membership subscriptions and Events.
