A new programme of Local guided walks has been organised by Ramblers Wellbeing Walks - Salisbury, part of a national organisation run by Ramblers UK.
The initiative is supported by Salisbury City Council.
Meeting points close to Stratford sub Castle are Five Rivers Centre, VIctoria Park, and Old Castle Inn Old Sarum.
'Footsteps to Fitness' 30 minute walks starting from the coffee kiosk in Victoria Park are suitable for new walkers, those recovering from illness or surgery or anyone who lives alone and wants to get out and meet new people.
These Friday walks all start at 10 am -
3 and 17 January
7 & 21 February
7 & 21 March
4 April
'Doorstep Walks' are 45-60 minute walks over mainly level ground and are suitable for those who wish to maintain their level of fitness or increase fitness after illness or injury. Some Doorstep Walks extend to 90 minutes for those looking for more challenging walks to increase their level of fitness.
These walks are on Thursdays starting at 10 am -
23 January from Five Rivers Health & Wellbeing Centre
6 February from Old Castle Inn, Old Sarum
20 February from Five Rivers Health & Wellbeing Centre
20 March from Five Rivers Health & Wellbeing Centre
17 April from Five Rivers Health & Wellbeing Centre
