Whilst riding my horse through the village last week, 6 cars sped past me (not necessarily residents), without a thought for mine or my horse's safety, all between Castle Keep and the Church. All were recorded by my head cam. Both my horse and I wear hi-vis so are very visible!
Please pass us at the Highway Code recommended distance and speed of 2 metres and 10mph! A horse can move sideways at over 50mph if spooked and I would hate for us to end up on the bonnet of your car or through your windscreen! I don't want to ride on the roads, but have no choice unfortunately! Thank you!
