There are temporary traffic lights controlling traffic on Stratford Road whilst SGN continues to replace gas mains in Stratford sub Castle.
The traffic lights are re-sited according to the location of the most-recent works and at present (21 October) restrict traffic on the bends near The Portway.
The estimated completion date has now been extended to 25 November.
The temporary traffic lights that had been in operation on Stratford Road controlling a section between Dairy Cottage and Mill Lane since 20 September were removed on
1 October.
On the section of Stratford Road that has been completed, it was necessary to disconnect the gas supply to some (but not all) properties for a few hours with the relevant householders being notified the previous day. If this should affect your property, once the supply is reconnected, a Gas-Safe Engineer will attend to check that boilers and other gas appliances are safe.
