About the Stratford sub Castle Cafés

A community café at the Reading Room is organised once a month on a Sunday during the months of May to September inclusive. Beverages and cakes, kitchen and garden produce, preloved books (and NEW for 2024, vinyl records) are all on offer inside the hall, with seating in the garden too. There is also a Christmas Special lunchtime café on a Saturday in December. The proceeds of all the cafés are donated to local charities/community. Please note that we can only accept cash payments.

Come along or volunteer to help, either way you will be most welcome.

Christmas Café Saturday 7 December 2024

in the Reading Room 11 am - 2 pm

The doors will open at 11.00am for morning coffee and from 12 noon we will be offering a choice of fabulous homemade soups and bread, as well as homemade savoury cheese scones with cheese and chutney.

Mulled Wine, beverages, mince pies, festive cakes and shortbread/biscuits will be available throughout.

Our produce table will be selling a variety of festive items ideal for gifts, plus a raffle for your chance to win a ‘Festive Foods Hamper’ and many other prizes.

(Cash payments only please.)

Anyone wishing to contribute items for the produce table or the raffle can still do so. Either contact me to arrange or bring items along on the day for opening time.

All proceeds raised at the Christmas café will be divided equally and donated between

Julia’s House and Morning Star, Salisbury.
